Corrugated Shipping Boxes

With corrugated shipping boxes, the board decision should come before the look, though it's easy to pick the outside first. We start from your product's weight: C-flute, B-flute or BC double-wall, then a white or brown liner and print only where it earns its place. Orders start at 100 boxes, shipping is included, and turnaround is 8–12 business days from proof approval.

Corrugated Shipping Boxes for Brands Shipping More Than One Product

A brand with one product can pick one box and stop thinking about it. Most brands don't have one product. They have a hero item, a refill, a bundle and a seasonal set, each a different weight and size, and they need a box family that covers all of it without a separate supplier for each line. That is what corrugated shipping boxes are for. Every flute profile and both liner colors sit under this one product, so a light candle set and a boxed kitchen appliance can be specified side by side, on one quote, checked by the same people. You choose the board per item and keep the look consistent across the whole range.

Corrugated Shipping Box Specs: Flute, Wall and Liner Options

Each box is specified from the same short list of choices. The materials page explains how fluted board is graded and layered; these are the options available on this product.

Option What you can specify
Flute B-flute (about 3.2mm), C-flute (about 4mm) or BC double-wall
Strength rating Edge Crush Test from about 32 ECT single-wall to 44 ECT and up double-wall, or Mullen burst at 200# to 275#
Outer liner Coated white or brown kraft
Inner liner Chosen separately from the outer
Size Small parcel cartons up to 24-inch-plus shippers, cut to your product
Tolerance About ±1/16" (1.5mm)

Folds are scored for a clean bend, and slotted builds are closed with glued or taped seams.

Why Start With the Corrugated Box Before Narrowing It Down

The other shipping box pages each fix one variable: a coated liner, a brown liner, a second wall, a large or small footprint, heavy print or none at all. This page fixes none of them, which is the point if you haven't decided yet. Start here when your range is mixed or the product is still being finalized, and let the weight, the fragility and the way your team packs settle the spec. Most are built in the tuck-front mailer style, which closes without tape and opens cleanly in the customer's hands. A few other styles are available, including auto-bottom and slotted cartons, for when packing speed or load matters more than the opening. If one factor already decides your box, the matching variant will serve you better.

Printing on Corrugated Shipping Boxes Depends on the Liner

What prints well here depends on which liner faces outward. A coated white liner holds full CMYK, Pantone matches and lamination, so it suits detailed artwork and photography. A brown kraft liner absorbs ink, which is why one or two colors usually look better on it than a full-color image. Flexo is the economical route at volume, while digital makes more sense on short runs or artwork that changes often, since there are no plates to pay for. On any flute, keep logos bold and type above 8pt, because the flute telegraphs through and softens fine edges. Interior print is available on either liner. What we'd skip on most shippers is foil and soft-touch, which pick up scuffs in a delivery van long before anyone admires them.

Best Corrugated Shipping Boxes for Electronics, Subscriptions and Wholesale

Three kinds of shipper get the most out of an open spec. Electronics sellers need the flute and insert matched to the device, and anything with a screen or a circuit board usually justifies B-flute or double-wall plus a fitted insert rather than loose fill. Subscription brands send different contents every month in the same outer box, so they want one or two sizes on a board that suits the heaviest month, not the average one. Wholesalers and distributors ship cartons that get stacked on pallets and reopened by store staff, so edge crush matters far more to them than outside print. Plenty of other sellers fit here as well: homeware, books, and anyone moving between direct-to-consumer and trade orders.

Ordering Corrugated Shipping Boxes, From Measurements to Delivery

Send us the product dimensions and weight, and say how the boxes will travel: parcel network, pallet, or both. We build the dieline from those measurements and confirm in writing whether each figure is internal or external, because that is where most sizing mistakes start. Design help is free and unlimited until the proof is right. Once you approve it, production takes 8–12 business days, and rush is available at extra cost, quoted before you commit. Every box passes a three-stage check before dispatch, and shipping is included in the price. Orders start at 100 boxes per size.

What brands say about this box

Answers before you have to ask.

What flute should I choose for my shipping boxes?

C-flute is the all-round standard and handles most parcel shipping. B-flute is thinner, prints better and resists crushing well for lighter loads. For heavy or fragile goods, BC double-wall stacks the two together. Tell us the product weight and we'll rate the board for you.

Can I have any liner color on corrugated?

Yes. The flute is the structure and the liner is the surface, so you can have a white liner for print or a brown kraft liner for a natural look, on the same board strength. Color can be added to either, though it reads differently on each.

Is ECT or Mullen the better rating to ask for?

They measure different things, so it depends on how the box fails. ECT measures edge crush, which matters when boxes stack on a pallet. Mullen measures burst resistance for rough handling. A board can rate well on one and poorly on the other, so tell us how yours will travel.

How long do corrugated shipping boxes take?

Most orders are ready in about 8–12 business days once you approve the proof. Rush production is available at an extra cost, quoted upfront so there are no surprises. Shipping is included either way.

What's the minimum order for shipping boxes?

100 boxes, across every flute, liner and size. That's low enough to test a size before committing to a full run, and the same minimum applies whether you're printing or going blank. Design help is unlimited and free at any quantity.
