Popcorn Boxes
Popcorn boxes cover every format from single-serving cones and cartons to sharing tubs, on kraft, paper or coated board, plain or printed. Butter soaks through uncoated board quickly and leaves visible stains, so a grease-proof face is worth its small cost. Interior printing shows as the box is eaten from. Orders start at 100 boxes in any size or stock combination you need.

Picking a Popcorn Box Starts With the Serving
Most popcorn box orders go wrong in the same place: the box gets chosen before anyone settles how much goes in it. A child's portion at a birthday table, a standard cinema serving and a tub meant for four people need different shapes, not just different sizes. This page covers the full range, so it's the place to start if you haven't yet decided between a cone, a carton or a tub. Buyers here are usually concession operators, event planners and snack brands setting up a first order, often with two or three portion sizes on one menu. Settle the servings first. Stock, print and quantity follow from that answer far more easily than the other way round.
Popcorn Box Sizes, Stocks and Grease Faces
Every popcorn box is cut to your portion rather than pulled from a list of stock sizes. Three things vary: the format, the board and the face that touches the food.
| Attribute | Options |
|---|---|
| Format | Cones, cartons and open tubs |
| Board | Kraft, white paper or grease-faced coated card |
| Food-contact face | Grease-proof coating |
| Interior | Plain or printed |
| Sizing | Built around your portion volume |
The coating does the grease work on every board, so choosing a stock is about look and print rather than performance. If the popcorn is buttered, specify the coating; it adds little to the price and keeps the outside of the box clean until the last handful.
Which Popcorn Box Variant Fits Your Counter
Which variant you need depends on the one thing you care about most. If a natural look matters, choose unbleached kraft. If the brand is the point, print full color on coated board. If the shade has to match an event, order a solid color and proof it. If you serve family portions, go large with a stronger base. If cost per serving runs the business, buy a lean disposable spec in bulk. Most buyers care about two of these, and how you rank them decides the board, the print and the price. The build underneath rarely changes: most are a fold-flat popcorn carton that opens at the counter, with a locking base on a few larger formats.
Print Options From One Ink to Full CMYK
Print on a popcorn box runs from a single ink to full CMYK, and the board decides which end makes sense. On kraft, one or two colors usually look better and cost less, because unbleached fiber pulls ink in and darkens it. On coated white board, full color keeps its brightness and suits detailed artwork, characters or photos. Interior print is available on every format and shows as the box is emptied. What we'd steer you away from is heavy decoration on a box that gets thrown away after one serving: finishes add more cost than extra colors do, and on a snack carton almost nobody notices them. Put that budget into clear, readable branding instead, where it actually gets seen.
Cinemas, Candy Shops and Party Tables
Cinemas and concession stands buy the widest spread of sizes, usually a small, a regular and a sharing tub on the same menu. Candy and sweet shops use popcorn cartons for flavored and coated popcorn sold by weight, often next to boxed fudge or chocolate. Party planners buy cones and small cartons for birthdays and school events, where a printed theme matters more than size range. Sports venues and fairs want volume and fast assembly above everything else. Snack brands selling gourmet popcorn at retail need a closed carton with a printed face that works on a shelf. If you sit across two of these, such as a cinema with a candy counter, one order can cover both formats.
Getting a Popcorn Box From Dieline to Delivery
Send us the portion you serve and the product dimensions if you have them, and we build the dieline, confirming internal versus external measurements in writing so the box holds what you expect. Design help is free and unlimited, so you can bring a finished file or just a logo. You approve a proof before anything runs. Production takes 8–12 business days from that approval. If you're working to an event date that's tighter, rush is available at extra cost, quoted upfront before you commit. Shipping is already in the price, and the dies, plates and setup are in the quote too, so the figure you approve is the figure you pay.

What brands say about this box
They live there rather than here, where we can't edit them, delete them, or pick which ones you get to see. That is exactly what makes them worth reading.
Read all reviews on Trustpilot(opens in a new tab)Answers before you have to ask.
What sizes do popcorn boxes come in?
Everything from single servings through to sharing tubs. The common range covers small cones and cartons for individual portions, mid sizes for a standard serving, and large tubs for sharing. Tell us your portion sizes and we'll match them.
Can popcorn boxes be printed inside?
Yes. Interior print shows as the box is opened and eaten from, which gives you a surface most brands overlook. It's a low-cost way to add branding or a message where the customer will actually see it.
Do popcorn boxes need a coating?
For buttered popcorn, yes. Butter soaks through uncoated board quickly and leaves visible stains that make the box look cheap. A grease-proof face costs little and keeps the box presentable through the whole serving.
How long do popcorn boxes take?
Around 8–12 business days from proof approval, whatever size you're running. Rush is available at a premium quoted upfront, and shipping is included on every order.
What's the minimum order for popcorn boxes?
100 boxes across any size or stock. That's low enough for a single event or a trial run, and free samples are available once you're ordering above 10,000 units.
