Vape juice boxes are for shortfills and larger bulk bottles that standard retail e-liquid cartons are too small to hold. A 100ml shortfill weighs considerably more than a 10ml bottle, so we specify board to the filled weight instead of scaling up a smaller carton. Several bottle sizes can share one box with cavities cut individually, and each size orders from 100 boxes.

Vape Juice Packaging Where the Base Takes the Weight
A vape juice box spends its life carrying weight. Shortfills and bulk bottles hold far more liquid than a retail bottle, so the base and side panels take a load small cartons never see. A box that bows, or splits at the bottom, fails before anyone reads the label.
The copy load is lighter by comparison. A bigger bottle means a bigger face, and the mandatory text takes up a smaller share of it. The buyers are juice brands selling larger formats and trade suppliers moving bulk bottles to shops, where the carton gets handled, stacked and restocked more than a small retail box would be. On this product, structure is the first decision and print is the second.
Shortfill and Bulk Bottle Box Specs
Board is chosen by what the full bottle weighs, not by how tall the box is: heavier carton board spec'd to the filled bottle, within the 18–24pt range and folded as a carton.

Send the filled weight along with the dimensions. The empty bottle tells us very little about what the base has to carry.
Why a Shortfill Needs Its Own Box, Not a Bigger E-Liquid Carton
Scaling an e-liquid carton up to shortfill size looks efficient and usually isn't. The retail carton is proportioned around a small bottle and a heavy copy load. Stretch it and you get tall, thin walls, a base sized for a lighter bottle and panels that sit mostly empty.
A taller folding carton cut per bottle starts from the shortfill instead: its proportions, its filled weight, and a cavity that stops a heavy bottle rocking in transit. The copy layout changes too, with more room for the brand and less pressure on the warning face. Vape juice boxes are commonly made this way for those reasons. If you sell both retail bottles and shortfills, keep the two as separate structures rather than forcing one box to do both jobs.
Larger Panels, Same Rules on Warning Copy
A shortfill box gives you more panel than most vape packaging, and the temptation is to fill all of it. Use the space for one clear brand face, a short flavor description and a size callout large enough to read from across a shelf.
The warning faces get the same treatment as on any regulated carton: flat, matte, high-contrast and nothing reflective over the text. Whether a larger size needs extra wording in your markets is yours to confirm. Foil and spot UV work on the front panel, away from mandatory copy. Heavier bottles get handled harder, so keep dense ink coverage off the base flaps, where scuffs show first. Full-color print runs on every face, including the base if you want a printed flap.
Vape Juice Boxes for Shortfills, Trade Packs and Mixed Sizes
Shortfill ranges sold at retail are the main use, with each flavor printed on a shared structure sized to the bottle. Trade and bulk supply is the second. There the box works mainly as a sturdy, cleanly branded carton for shops that restock often, so print is kept simple and the board does the work.
Mixed-size ranges are the third. A brand selling two or three bottle sizes can run them as one family with a cavity cut for each, so the line looks consistent across the shelf. Twin packs of the same flavor move to a wider carton with a divider. Juice makers who also bottle hemp extracts face the same weight question with CBD sold in larger bottles, where the base carries a similar load.

Most juice ranges come in more than one size, and quoting them as one job spreads the setup across every size instead of paying it once per size. Each size still gets its own fitted cavity and starts at 100 boxes.

How do vape juice boxes differ from e-liquid boxes?
Mainly format. E-liquid boxes are sized for retail bottles where compliance copy dominates the panel. Vape juice boxes typically hold shortfills and larger bulk bottles, so the proportions and panel layout differ.
Can vape juice boxes hold several bottle sizes?

Do vape juice boxes need a heavier board?
