Corrugated Cardboard Mailer Boxes
Kraft mailer boxes give the tuck-front style an unbleached surface that suits brands selling on natural materials. Kraft absorbs ink, so colors dry duller, warmer and darker than your proof; design for one or two colors or add a white underprint. Foil and blind embossing both contrast well with the brown. Slight tone variation between batches is normal for natural kraft stock.

Kraft Mailer Boxes for Brands Whose Look Is Already Natural
If your labels are on recycled paper, your website runs on earth tones and your product talks about ingredients, a glossy white box will look like someone else's packaging. The kraft mailer fits that kind of brand without extra decoration. The brown surface reads as considered on its own, so a single printed mark is often all it needs, and the box sits naturally beside twine, tissue and hand-stamped details. Buyers are usually small-batch makers, refill and zero-waste shops, coffee roasters, candle and soap brands, and anyone whose customers already expect a natural material. It's the same tuck-front structure as every other mailer, chosen here for how it looks and feels rather than for strength.
What the Unbleached Kraft Mailer Is Made Of
The board is a natural unbleached sheet, so its brown comes from the fiber itself rather than from ink or dye. Nothing is coated onto the face unless you ask for it.
| Spec | Kraft mailer |
|---|---|
| Stock | Unbleached kraft board |
| Surface | Uncoated, natural brown |
| Construction | One-piece tuck-front, self-locking |
| Sizing | Cut to your product's dimensions |
| One or two colors recommended; white underprint for full color | |
| Inside | Printable |
Because the surface is uncoated, ink sinks into the fiber rather than sitting on top of it. That one property shapes most of the print decisions further down the page, so it's worth settling the artwork approach before the size.
Why Let the Board Show Instead of Covering It
A white mailer only looks finished when most of it is printed. Kraft looks finished bare, and that changes the economics: a one-color logo on brown can carry a whole range, where the same logo floating on white would look like a placeholder. The trade-off is control. You won't get bright, exact brand colors without an extra print pass, and a pale design can disappear into the board. Brands that choose kraft have usually decided the material is part of the message, the way soap makers who sell on plain ingredients keep the box as simple as the bar inside it. If vivid color is central to your brand, a coated white mailer is the better spend, and we'd say so before quoting this one.
One-Color Marks, White Ink and Emboss on Brown Stock
The options that suit kraft work with the brown rather than against it. White ink gives a crisp, high-contrast mark that standard color can't reach on this base. One or two spot colors in darker tones hold up well, while pale tints fade into the board. Foil stamping looks intentional against the brown. Blind embossing raises a logo with no ink at all. A white underprint beneath full-color artwork brings accuracy back, at the cost of an extra pass. What we'd steer you away from is heavy gloss lamination, which covers the texture you're paying for. The inside can be printed too, and a plain brown interior with a single printed line under the lid is often all a kraft box needs.
Where Kraft Mailers Fit: Roasters, Makers and Gift Sets
Coffee is one of the clearest fits. roasters bundling beans into gift sets use kraft mailers for a bag, a mug and a brew card in one box, and the brown matches the bean bags inside. Candle makers use them for gift pairs and refill sets. Stationery and print studios pack notebooks and art prints in them. Tea, spice and pantry brands use them for tasting kits. Refill and zero-waste shops pick kraft because a coated, laminated box would undercut what they sell. Florists and plant shops use larger sizes for dried arrangements. What these buyers share is a product that already looks handmade or natural, and a box that shouldn't compete with it for attention.
Proofing a Kraft Mailer Before the Run
The proof step matters more on kraft than on any other mailer stock, because the brown base changes every color printed on it. Send your artwork and product dimensions, and our design team, free and with no limit on revisions, will prepare the dieline and a proof for approval. When you review it, judge the colors against brown board rather than your monitor. Orders above 10,000 boxes come with free samples, which is worth using on kraft if color is critical. Once you approve, production runs 8–12 business days, with rush available at extra cost, quoted upfront. The minimum is 100 boxes. Shipping is included, and the quote carries every die and plate cost, so nothing is added later.

What brands say about this box
They live there rather than here, where we can't edit them, delete them, or pick which ones you get to see. That is exactly what makes them worth reading.

Will my brand colors print accurately on kraft?
Not exactly, and it's worth knowing before you commit. Kraft is unbleached, so it absorbs ink and colors dry duller, warmer and darker than your proof. Most brands either design around it with one or two colors, or add a white underprint to restore accuracy at the cost of an extra pass.
Are kraft mailers recyclable?
Yes. Kraft is unbleached pulp and recycles easily, which is part of why brands selling on natural materials choose it. If a retailer or marketplace has a specific recyclability screen you need to pass, tell us and we'll spec the stock to meet it.
Can kraft mailers take foil or embossing?
Foil works well on kraft and the contrast is striking — metallic against unbleached brown reads deliberately craft rather than cheap. Blind embossing also suits it, adding texture with no ink at all, which appeals to brands avoiding films and coatings.
How soon can I get kraft mailers?
Usually 8–12 business days after you sign off the proof. There's a rush lane when you need stock sooner, priced upfront so there are no surprises. Shipping comes included on every order.
Will kraft look consistent across reorders?
Very close, though kraft is a natural material and slight tone variation between batches is normal. We hold your spec on file so reorders match as closely as the stock allows, and our three-stage check catches anything that drifts noticeably.
