Pink Donut Boxes

Pink donut boxes are the shop-window classic, recognized on sight as coming from a donut shop before the lid opens. The pink prints bright on coated board, and colored board or full coverage costs marginally more than plain, shown exactly in your quote. Half-dozen and dozen are the usual counts, and running several together keeps the pink consistent across every count.

Pink Donut Boxes That Say Donut Shop Before the Logo Does

Pink donut boxes are bought mostly by shops that want to look like a donut shop at a glance, plus newer brands borrowing that association instead of building one from scratch. Every box that leaves the counter turns into a small piece of advertising: carried down the street, left on a desk, opened at a party. The decisions on this box are narrow, but they matter. Which pink, on which board, and how much of each panel it covers will each move the cost and the look. They're far easier to settle before the first proof than after a run is on the shelf, and the rest of this page works through them in that order.

Pink Donut Box Specs: Pantone Shade on White or Brown Board

Most pink donut boxes are printed on white board that holds a Pantone, which keeps the shade bright and repeatable from run to run. Kraft is the alternative for a warmer, earthier pink.

Attribute Detail
Coated white board Bright, matched to your Pantone
Kraft board Brown base warms the pink to a muted tone
Caliper 18–24pt for counter boxes
Inside face Grease-resistant coating
Counts Half-dozen and dozen most common
Tolerance Around ±1/16" (1.5mm)

Send a Pantone reference and we'll proof it on the stock you've chosen. The same ink reads differently on coated and uncoated board, so a swatch on its own isn't enough to judge it.

Bright Pink on Coated Board Versus Muted Pink on Kraft

The board decides which pink you get more than the ink does. On coated white, the shade you pick from a swatch is close to the shade on the box, and it stays the same across sizes and reorders. That's the right choice for a shop whose pink is part of its identity. On kraft, the brown base pulls the same ink toward a dusty rose. It looks less like a franchise and more like a craft bakery, which suits some brands better. The structure is the same either way, commonly a fold-and-lock bottom that sets up square in one motion. Choose coated if your pink is in your logo, and kraft if the pink is a mood rather than a brand color.

Flood Pink, Printed Pink and the Cost Gap Between Them

There are two ways to get a pink box. Flood print covers white board in pink ink edge to edge and gives exact control over the shade. Colored board starts pink and needs only your logo printed on top. We price both in the same quote, so you can compare them directly against a plain white box with a logo. A window works well on pink: the pink frames it and the glaze provides the contrast. For the logo, a white or dark ink reads cleanly against a mid pink, while a second pink tone on pink rarely does. Lamination is available, but on a counter box that's opened once and thrown away, most shops leave it off.

Pink Boxes for Donut Counters, Pop-Ups and Party Orders

Classic donut counters order pink in volume and treat it as their standard box. Birthday and party orders come next: a stack of pink boxes on a table reads as a treat before anyone opens one. Baby showers and gender reveals lean on pink for obvious reasons, and some shops keep a small run aside for those bookings. Mobile and pop-up sellers like the color because it identifies them from a distance at a market or festival, alongside other street food and pop-up vendors. Cafés that fry their own donuts sometimes choose pink for a single-count box only. Shops with a savory or minimal brand are the exception, since pink can pull against that positioning.

Reordering Pink Donut Boxes Without a New Proof

Approve your pink once, and the Pantone reference, the board and every dieline are recorded against your account. Repeat orders are built from that record, and you'd only see a new proof if something about the box changes. Adding a count later works the same way: a single box to sit beside an existing half-dozen and dozen is matched to the same spec, so the pink doesn't drift between sizes. Production is 8–12 business days from confirmation, and rush is available when an event date is fixed, at an extra cost we state upfront. The minimum is 100 boxes, shipping is included, and every run goes through a three-stage check. A bulk run that misses your approved pink is reprinted at our cost.

What brands say about this box

Answers before you have to ask.

Is pink available on kraft as well as white?

Yes, but they look quite different. On white coated board pink prints bright and true to a Pantone. On kraft the brown base warms it, so it reads muted and earthier. Both work depending on the look you want.

Do pink donut boxes come in several counts?

Yes. Half-dozen and dozen are most common, though we build to whatever counts you sell. Running several counts together shares setup and keeps the pink consistent across all of them.

Is pink board more expensive?

Marginally, since colored board or full-coverage printing costs more than plain. The difference is small at volume, and we'll show the exact figure in your quote rather than estimating it.

How soon can pink donut boxes be made?

Usually 8–12 business days from proof approval, across all counts. Rush production is available at a premium stated first, with shipping included on every order.

Can pink donut boxes be reordered easily?

Yes. With your dimensions and artwork on file, reorders are straightforward and usually need no new proof. Most run in about 8–12 business days once confirmed.
