Purple Pillow Boxes
Purple pillow boxes suit favors, showers and themed events where the shade has to match the rest of the decor, and purples shift noticeably between coated and uncoated board, sometimes turning blue or gray. We proof your Pantone on the actual stock first. Foil reads well on solid purple, positioned away from the curved ends. One-off event runs start at just 100 boxes.

Purple That Matches the Invitation and the Table
A purple pillow box usually comes late in the planning. The invitations are printed, the flowers are ordered, the ribbon is chosen, and now the favors need a box that sits beside all of it without looking like a near miss. That's the real brief: one specific purple, held across a few hundred boxes, matching things that were printed somewhere else. Lavender for a spring shower, plum or eggplant for an evening wedding, a brand violet for a launch: each needs a different approach to stock and ink. Work from a Pantone reference rather than a screen color, which changes from one monitor to the next and rarely survives the trip to print. The closer the reference, the fewer proof rounds it takes.
Purple Pillow Stock: Dyed, Printed or Pantone-Matched
There are two routes to a purple box. One prints solid color onto coated board that holds a matched purple; the other starts from board that is already colored. Which costs less depends on run size, so the quote shows both side by side.
| Route | Best for |
|---|---|
| Printed coverage | Matching a set Pantone shade exactly |
| Pre-colored board | Larger runs where a stock shade is close enough |
| Plain | No artwork; the color carries the box |
| Foil | Initials, names or a logo, clear of the end scores |
Size is cut to the favor itself, whether that's a few sweets, a candle or a small keepsake.
Committing to One Shade Across an Event
The case for a purple box over a white one with a purple sticker is consistency. At a wedding or shower, guests see the favors next to the linen, the flowers and the invitation they brought, and a box that's close but slightly off reads as a mismatch rather than a choice. A fully colored box is the cleanest way to make the favor look like part of the decor. Full coverage puts down more ink than a single mark, and that shows in the price. For shower and bridal-table favors, it's usually a small line against the rest of the event budget. Where it isn't worth it: if the color scheme is still changing, a neutral box with a colored ribbon is the cheaper and safer answer.
Foil Placement on Solid Purple
Most purple favor boxes carry very little artwork, often just initials, a date or a short thank-you line, because the color already does most of the work. That line belongs in the center band of the front face, where the curve is gentlest and type stays undistorted. Metallic foil is the usual choice for it, and the rule that matters is distance from the end scores: the fold flexes every time the box is opened, and foil laid across it eventually cracks. Solid ink across a crease behaves the same way, flaking slightly with handling, which matters most when guests open and close the box more than once. Laying names, date and foil out on the dieline is part of the free design help.
Purple Favors for Showers, Weddings and Sweet Tables
Purple pillow boxes are bought mostly for events with a fixed color scheme. Baby and bridal showers lean on lilac and lavender. Weddings lean toward plum, violet and eggplant, often with foil initials on the front. Sweet tables and dessert bars use them as grab-and-go favors, filled with sugared almonds and wrapped mints or a couple of chocolates. Quinceañeras, graduations and milestone birthdays suit them too, since the theme color is often set months before anyone thinks about favors. Brands with a purple identity use them outside events as well: launch samples, small gifts at trade days and thank-you packs added to orders. In each case the box is judged next to other things in the same color.
A Single Event Run, Proofed on Your Stock
Purple orders are usually for a single event with no reorder planned, and the process is set up for exactly that. Send the favor's dimensions and your Pantone reference; we build the dieline around them and proof the color on the board it will actually print on. Design help is free and unlimited, so getting names, date and foil placement right costs nothing extra. The quote includes dies, plates and setup, with nothing added after you approve it, and shipping is in the price. Allow 8–12 business days from proof approval and work back from the event date; rush is available at an extra cost we state upfront. Planners ordering above 10,000 boxes get samples free.

What brands say about this box
They live there rather than here, where we can't edit them, delete them, or pick which ones you get to see. That is exactly what makes them worth reading.
Read all reviews on Trustpilot(opens in a new tab)Answers before you have to ask.
Can you match a specific shade of purple?
We get very close. Send us a Pantone reference and we'll proof it on your actual stock, since purples shift noticeably between coated and uncoated board and can go blue or gray unexpectedly.
Can purple pillow boxes take foil?
Yes, and foil on a solid purple reads well for wedding and event use. Keep the stamping away from the curved ends, where the fold can crack the foil over time.
Do purple boxes cost more than plain?
Somewhat, since solid color coverage uses more ink than a logo on plain stock. Dyed board can work out cheaper at volume than printing full coverage. We'll quote both.
How soon can purple pillow boxes be made?
About 8–12 business days once the proof is approved. We proof solid colors on your actual stock first, which is built into that window. Rush is available at a quoted premium.
Can purple boxes be ordered for one event?
Yes, from 100 boxes. Event colors are usually one-off rather than ongoing, which is exactly what the low minimum exists for.
